Technip Receives Contract From BHP Billiton For Angostura Gas Project In Trinidad & Tobago

Technip, a France-based operator of gas and oil engineering, technologies and projects, has been awarded by BHP Billiton a contract for the fabrication, transportation and installation of a flowline, and transportation and installation of an umbilical, for the BHP Billiton-operated Angostura gas project. The project is located offshore Trinidad & Tobago, in around 30 meters (100 feet) of water. Technip’s operating center in Houston, Texas will carry out this contract.
The flowline will be welded at Technip’s spoolbase located in Evanton, Scotland.
Offshore installation is scheduled for 2010, using the Apache, one of Technip’s pipelay vessels, and one of Technip's diving support vessels.
