Petro-Canada Wins Drilling Permit For Wellbore 34/4-11 In PL 375, Norway

Petro-Canada Norge AS (Petro-Canada) has received a drilling permit from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for wellbore 34/4-11. The drilling program for wellbore 34/4-11 applies to drilling of a wildcat well in production license (PL) 375. The well will be drilled by the drilling facility Songa Delta at position 61°38´40.93” North and 02°05´53.68” East.
The area in this permit is comprised of parts of blocks 34/4 and 34/5, north of the Snorre field in the North Sea. Petro-Canada is the operator with a 65% interest, Wintershall Norge ASA has a 35% interest.
The drilling permit is granted on the condition that all other permits and consents required by other authorities have been secured before the drilling activity commences.
