Europa Oil Provides Hykeham-1Z Well Operations Update

Europa Oil & Gas has provided an operational update on the Hykeham-1Z well, which lies on the PEDL150 licence near Lincoln, onshore UK. The company said that since running perforating guns over the 4mt of Basal Sandstone in February, the operations have concentrated on lifting the reservoir fluids without success.

Bengal Energy Wins Exploration License In India

Bengal Energy has said that the government of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu has granted a formal petroleum exploration license on 234,000 acres in India's Cauvery basin to a consortium including Bengal Energy. The company has a 30% interest in the onshore block CY-ONN-2005/1 while the operator, GAIL (India), holds a 40% interest and the Gujarat State Petroleum holds the remaining 30% interest.
